“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul that the way in which it treats its children.”
These are the inspirational words at the core of BT Industrial’s decision to focus their CSI program strategy on the investment in children who haven’t been afforded a happy start to life.
Jehovah Jairah is family managed Orphanage centre (JJOC), established 15 years ago by the Matjeke family in Block GG Soshanguve Pretoria. They have created a safe and loving environment for 32 abandoned, neglected, abused, HIV – AIDS affected children.
After our first visit to view the premises, we were inspired to return to share some of the basics that we believed will make a difference to the JJOC family. BT Management, joined by their families returned on the 7th of July to deliver some much needed necessities, from clothing, to home and office furniture, as the first step to further uplifting the quality of life of these beautiful children .
We have vowed as an organisation to hold JJOC’s hands and pull them forward with us as we continue to grow. Our hope is that our partnership with JJOC will continue to enrich the children’s lives and create confident leaders of the future, not deterred by their challenging childhoods but encouraged to face the future with resilience, confidence and positivity!
